We’ve rounded up the top SUVs with final assembly in the United States. The SUVs on this list are not only built here, but they also have high scores from U.S. News & World Report. We’ve also noted how much of the content in each vehicle is American-made. All of the manufacturers report this data to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration every year for all of the vehicles sold in the US.

2025 GMC Acadia

The GMC Acadia is built in Michigan, but it has a rather low 35% US content, which means many of its parts are manufactured elsewhere, including Mexico.
The Acadia is a good all-around SUV. The interior has enough room for adults in all three rows, and plenty of cargo space. The seats are particularly plush and comfy, even in the third row. 2025 Chevrolet Traverse

Like its GM stablemate the Acadia, the Chevy Traverse has a low 35% US content. Also like the Acadia, this is a good people-hauling SUV, with lots of room for passengers and their gear.
You won’t mistake the Traverse for a sport-tuned machine, but it does have a silky smooth ride and decent gas mileage. The standard touch screen is a massive 17.7 inches, and it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and multiple USB ports for all of those passengers. It has a very long list of standard driver safety tech, and the hands-free Super Cruise system is also available.
