Fans have been left stunned after finding out how much it’ll cost Anthony Gordon to maintain his GMC Hummer EV.
Gordon has made a big impression on the pitch this season, starring for both club and country.
He’s started every game for Newcastle United and started England’s two Nations League fixtures during the international break.
And ahead of potentially lining up for the Magpies against Fulham on Saturday, Gordon got people online talking after noticing his car that has never been seen before in the UK.
Gordon drove away from the club’s training ground in his Hummer EV, which is assembled in the United States.
The all-electric whip is an impressive unit and costs around £190k.

But how much does it cost to charge?
Well, according to YouTuber user Kyle, it costs between $10 (£7.50) and ‘well over’ $100 (£75.50) depending on some pricing models.
Naturally, the cost to maintain the bulky vehicle got car enthusiasts talking.
One YouTube user wrote: “Imagine how much there gonna charge in 10 years to charge your hummer.”
A second wrote: “No wonder nobody wants EVs anymore. Can be $100+ and 2 hours to fill up?? Plus a gas truck is way cheaper to purchase. Time is money…5 minutes to fill up gas for a little bit more $$ is worth it.”
A third added: “I live in the UK, no idea why you’d charge any EV at an EV charging point unless it’s really needed en route. You should have a home charger installed and not pay premium rates at charge stations unless necessary on a long trip.”

Transfer Markt, a website from Germany, have a system whereby they crunch the numbers and players all over the world see their value go up and down depending on their performances.
Players clearly pay attention too, with Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly blocking the website after not being happy with his value.

Completing the five is last term’s Premier League Player of the Season Phil Foden, who has a market value of €150 million.
He is ahead of England teammate Bukayo Saka by €10 million but after failing to score or assist in Euro 2024, many fans aren’t happy with where Foden is ranked.
One wrote: “How on earth did Foden still worth same amount after dropping stinkers at the Euros.”
Another said: “Foden shouldn’t be above Saka.”
A third added: “If you gave every club on the world an unlimited transfer budget, not one of them would spend €150m on a ‘Phil Foden’ .
A fourth commented: “No way Foden is worth more than Saka.”

Jamie Carragher names the Premier League centre-back pairing which could become the greatest of all time and it’s got fans talking
The former Liverpool defender has made a bold claim.
Ben McCrum
Jamie Carragher has revealed the two Premier League centre-backs that he believes could go on to be the greatest pairing of all time.
While names like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are often thrown around when discussing the greatest of all time, love is rarely shown to the best defenders in football.
The Premier League has hosted some of the greatest defenders ever to play the game and yet, they are not often considered when discussing the best-ever players.
But now, former Liverpool defender Carragher has named the one current Premier League centre-back pairing that he thinks could go on to be seen as the best that football has ever seen.
Writing for The Telegraph, Carragher argued: “Arsenal’s William Saliba and Gabriel are on the threshold of joining elite company.
“Provided they stay together, we will eventually reference Saliba and Gabriel in the same breath as the two stand-out partnerships of my generation; Chelsea’s John Terry and Ricardo Carvalho, and Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.”
However, the pundit pointed out one other thing that the Arsenal duo must do if they are to be regarded as of the best centre-back pairings of all time.
He added: “Arsenal must win the Premier League or Champions League for the duo to establish themselves in that hall of fame, but they are making giant strides and are the biggest reason why Mikel Arteta’s side can travel to Manchester City with confidence this weekend.”
Responding to Carragher’s claim on social media platform X, one fan agreed, writing: “They really need to win something to be in that conversation though IMO. Rightly or wrongly they’ll be judged on that.”

But one fan disagreed, arguing that Arsenal’s impressive defensive record is due to the strength of the team rather than Saliba and Gabriel.
They wrote: “They’re playing in a side that defend together. Rarely get a run at one of them isolated. When I’ve seen them isolated they’ve be found wanting.”
While another fan suggested that Manchester City boasted a better pair of centre-backs in Ruben Dias and John Stones, writing: “Funny how you won’t say this about Dias and Stones who’ve won 4 PLs and a UCL together.”
