Most celebrities buy Rolls and Bentleys and Ferraris, but some of them go the extra mile (and spend the extra dollar) to get limited-edition supercars few people can get.

From one-off concept cars to track-ready racers, these are some of the craziest cars owned by celebrities.

Aston Martin One 77 – $1.8M

One of Aston Martin‘s rarest supercars, the One-77 was introduced in 2008 with a stylish aerodynamic design, sharp lines and low profile on a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis.

Packing a punch under the hood, it’s fitted with a 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, 750 horsepower and has a top speed of 220 MPH.

Only 77 units were made but former Cameroonian soccer player, Samuel Eto’o, owns one.

Ferrari Monza – $2M

Counting Gordon Ramsay, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic amongst its famous fans, the Ferrari Monza SP is one of the most extreme Prancing Horse supercars you can buy.

It’s based on the Ferrari 812 Superfast, but its unique design was inspired by race cars from the 1950s.

The open-top design has a low windshield and a safety roll bar.

Choose from the single-seater Monza SP1 and the Monza SP2 which can carry a passenger – both valued at $2 million.

Bugatti Chiron – $3.1M

Here’s yet another car in Ronaldo’s impressive fleet as he tops Forbes’ World Highest-Paid Athletes 2023 list.

Out of his three Bugattis, the Chiron is arguably the most impressive in his fleet and, of course, features top specifications and his CR7 logo.

It can reach speeds of 260 mph and does 0-60 in under 2.5 seconds.

1955 Porsche 550 RS – $3M

The first race car for the German automobile manufacturer, the 550 RS really earned its racing stripes and nickname: “Giant Killer”.

With only 90 ever made, its rare and people will pay some serious cash to get their hands on one for their collection.

And, labelled the richest comedian earlier in 2023, Jerry Seinfeld laid down some serious cash on this $3-million model.

Maybach Exelero – $8M

A collaboration between Stola and DaimlerChrysler, this one-of-a-kind model was designed with Fulda to test high-performance tyres.

Combining the quality of a limousine with the smooth power of a sports coupé, its V12 twin-turbo engine can reach speeds of 350km/h.

There were rumors that Jay-Z owned this Maybach two-seater after using it in one of his music videos.

However, the Exelero is actually owned by fellow rapper Birdman.

Bugatti Centodieci – $12M

One of just ten on the road – and the planet – it was built to celebrate the brand’s 110th anniversary and pay homage to the Bugatti EB110SS.

Yet another part of Ronaldo’s fleet, the footballer bought the 1600 horse power Bugatti in March 2020 while at Juventus.

The supercar can go from 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds.

According to the brand, Gordon Murray’s creation is considered one of the “greatest supercar ever built”.

The fastest naturally aspirated road car ever built, only 106 were made making it one of the most exclusive cars in the world today.

Famous faces behind the wheel include Ralph Lauren, Jay Leno, Elon Musk and Lewis Hamilton.

Designed to reflect the nautical grace of J-class yachts and classic racing cars , this supercar is all about customisation.

The highly bespoke and luxury car can be extensively modified to meet the owner’s specific requirements.

At a whopping 5.8 metres long, it uses a modified version of the Phantom’s aluminium space frame architecture.

Under the bonnet, it boasts the same twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre V12 engine and a 0-62mph time of around 5.3 seconds.

Their second time on our list of the most expensive cars owned by celebrities, Jay-Z and Beyoncé  reportedly commissioned a model.

It came complete with a “rear deck” featuring a cocktail table and parasol.

With his rare, fine-car collection stored in a hidden park building in New York, fashion designer, Ralph Lauren acquired this beauty in 1988.

One of only three ever made, it’s been restored, maintained and entered into Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este, where it has taken the top prize.

Arguably the first supercar ever made in the 1930s, its low stance, powerful engine, lightweight construction, 123 mph (200 kph) top speed and influential teardrop body is a stunning example of art-deco design.

At home on the road or track, this supercar legend tops our list of the most expensive cars owned by celebrities.

It was widely regarded as the car that summed up Ferrari’s philosophy best.

Exceptional handling and performance made it a popular choice among racing enthusiasts.

Celebrities who own it include Ralph Lauren and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd.

NASA astronaut Frank Rubio just got home after spending over a year in space.

The 47-year-old set the world record for the longest time spent in space by a US astronaut, but this comes at a cost.

Rubio was able to set foot on Earth for the first time in exactly 371 days at 7:17 ET on September 29 in Kazakhstan, according to a press release by NASA.

And this actually brings us to the first of many consequences of spending that much time in space.

When we say ‘he set foot’, we only mean this metaphorically.

Having lived for over a year in microgravity, Rubio will need some time to readapt to Earth’s gravity and even walking may take a few weeks.

The absence of Earth’s gravity also causes a decrease in muscle mass and bone density, too.

Dr. Jennifer Fogarty, a doctor from Baylor College who works with NASA, said the biggest changes in bone and muscle loss occur in the first couple of months of a mission.

After the first few months, the body adjusts to the new condition and things get better.

“How do you coordinate movement like walking, which you haven’t done for a long period of time, and then the idea of balance? When you put those two together, it can create a precarious situation,” Dr. Fogarty said.

Furthermore, Dr. Fogarty explains how your blood flow changes when living in weightless microgravity, which can cause eye swelling or blurry vision.

“Existing in a weightless environment is one of the most foreign things biologically that the body has to deal with,” Dr. Fogarty added.

NASA astronaut Scott Kelley spent 340 days in space between 2015 and 2016 and his physician said said 90 percent of these changes were resolved within a few months of Kelley’s return.

However, in addition to physical changes, which are generally temporary, astronauts also have to deal with psychological effects that come from being isolated for an extended period of time.

Psychologically, the biggest issue is sensory deprivation, which can cause anxiety and sleep loss.

Fogarty added that the unexpected can always occur, so the best thing NASA can do is make sure astronauts are well-trained and prepared.

“We can select people, train them and make sure they’re very healthy before they go,” Fogarty said.

Now that the space race is back in full swing, we can expect to learn more on that front.

And it’s not just NASA either as new ‘space superpowers’ are emerging.

Not that long ago, India became the fourth country to land on the Moon, and the first to ever reach the South Pole of Earth’s satellite.

The Boeing 757 is known as the Ferrari of commercial jets, and Donald Trump’s pimped-out version costs $100 million. 

Called Trump Force One, every piece of metal is plated with 24-carat gold, including light fixtures, seat buckles, and the bathroom sink. 

All of the seats are made with Italian leather and have the Trump family crest stitched on them. 

The aircraft also has a custom paint job on the outside, with Trump written in big gold letters and the American flag painted on the tail.

4. Kim Kardashian’s Golfstream G 650 ER – ‘Kim Air’

This aircraft usually costs $66.5 million, but Kardashian’s bespoke version is priced at a whopping $150 million. 

The aircraft is actually customized to match her mansion; it’s all crepe white and beige. 

It’s also got an enhanced ionization feature so its passengers can breathe fresh outside air.

3. Sultan of Brunei’s Boeing 747-430 

From gold wash basins to crystal chandeliers, this Boeing aircraft is unlike any other. 

A standard 747-430 costs about $200 million, but after the Sultan’s makeover, the price skyrocketed to $320 million. 

It has everything from luxurious bedrooms to a private office, dining room, lounge areas and everything is solid gold or gold plated. 

The Sultan is also trained to fly the aircraft himself.

2. Joseph Lau’s Boeing 747-8 VIP 

The Boeing 747-8 VIP usually costs around $150 million, but after the Chinese billionaire’s customizations, it reportedly cost $367 million. 

His VIP version has a bar, dining room, more than one lounge, and an exclusive sky loft above the main cabin. 

There are also a couple of bedrooms, a massive meeting room, and an onboard gym.

1. Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal’s Airbus A380 

The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger aircraft, with two full-length decks. 

The Saudi Arabian prince ordered the plane for $500 million and designed it with a throne in the center. 

The plane was reportedly customized with a garage for the prince’s supercars and a stable for his horses and camels.
