The Young and the Restless is about to take viewers on a wild ride as Phyllis,
Christine, and Paul join forces to confront Sharon and save Daniel from a wrongful fate.
After spending time in Paris, Christine and Danny had been enjoying a
break from the chaos of Genoa City, rebuilding their relationship and finding solace in the City of Light. But with Daniel facing the threat of imprisonment, their peaceful moments are cut short. The couple knows they have no choice but to return to the turmoil that awaits them back home.
Interesting For You
Phyllis has been relentless in keeping Christine updated on the dire situation in Genoa City. According to her, Sharon Newman has spun out of control, becoming a dangerous force who believes she’s untouchable. Phyllis paints Sharon as the mastermind behind a deadly game, framing Daniel for a murder he didn’t commit. Heather’s death looms over Daniel like a dark cloud, and Sharon, in her delusional arrogance, is pulling the strings to ensure that Daniel takes the fall for her crime.
Christine listens intently as Phyllis lays out the details. Sharon, once a familiar face in Genoa City, has transformed into a dangerous, unpredictable figure. Phyllis is adamant that Sharon is the true culprit behind Heather’s death, while Daniel remains a pawn in her twisted game. The urgency of the situation becomes increasingly clear, as every day that passes puts Daniel in more peril. Phyllis fears that if they don’t act quickly, Daniel could be lost to the prison system for a crime he never committed.
At the center of this chaos is Sharon’s influence over Genoa City’s law enforcement, particularly Chance Chancellor. Once a respected cop, Chance has seemingly fallen from grace, bending the rules to protect Sharon. Phyllis describes Chance as having become corrupt, a man who no longer upholds the law but instead enables Sharon’s reckless behavior. His once-unshakeable moral compass has shifted, and now, he shields Sharon from facing the consequences of her actions.
Christine, being the sharp and experienced lawyer she is, doesn’t take Phyllis’s claims lightly. While she listens carefully to Phyllis’s account, she knows better than to jump to conclusions without investigating the facts herself. Christine is determined to find the cracks in Sharon’s scheme and piece together a strategy to bring her down. If anyone can expose the truth and free Daniel, it’s Christine. With her years of legal expertise, she knows how to navigate even the most complex cases, and Sharon’s manipulation of the system won’t go unchallenged.

However, Christine realizes that she can’t do this alone. She needs someone who can help tip the scales in their favor – someone who can bring a level of authority and fear that will shake Sharon and her allies. Enter Paul Williams, a legendary detective whose sharp instincts and unwavering moral compass have made him a force to be reckoned with in Genoa City. Paul’s reputation alone could send shockwaves through the criminal underworld, and Christine knows that if she can convince him to return, they’ll have a powerful ally in their fight against Sharon.
Paul has been away from the force for some time, but his history with both Christine and Phyllis makes him a trustworthy ally. Despite their past ups and downs, they know they can rely on him when it counts. Once Paul learns about the dire situation Daniel is in, he won’t hesitate to step back into action. Christine is already formulating a plan to bring Paul on board, knowing that his skills will be crucial in taking Sharon and Chance down.
Meanwhile, back in Genoa City, Sharon walks with an air of invincibility. She believes she’s untouchable, bolstered by her relationship with Chance, who acts as her protector. Together, they’ve formed a dangerous duo, and Sharon’s confidence grows by the day. Chance’s loyalty to Sharon has clouded his judgment, and he’s willing to betray his badge to keep her safe. But Christine sees through their facade – she knows that Chance’s loyalty to Sharon is his biggest weakness, and she’s prepared to exploit that to bring them both down.
As Phyllis, Christine, and Paul unite, their alliance sets the stage for a showdown that will shake Genoa City to its core. Sharon’s reign of terror may seem unstoppable, but with Christine’s legal mind, Paul’s investigative prowess, and Phyllis’s determination to protect her son, this dangerous duo may finally face justice.

Overview
The 2025 BMW 2 Series may be the brand’s entry-level model, but it’s every bit a Bimmer with stirring performance, a refined interior, and sturdy build quality. The BMW 2 Series is a 5-seater vehicle that comes in 4 trim levels. The most popular style is the M240i Coupe xDrive, which starts at $53,775 and comes with a 3.0L I6 Turbo engine and All Wheel Drive. This 2 Series is estimated to deliver 23 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
There was a time when BMW was known worldwide for its sporty luxury coupes. More recently, SUVs have dominated the market, and BMW has smartly followed suit. That doesn’t mean the company has abandoned two-door body styles, though. The BMW 2 Series keeps the coupe flame lit, along with the larger 4 Series and 8 Series.
Not to confuse things, but there are also four-door Gran Coupe models of each. However, for 2025, it seems likely that the 2 Series Gran Coupe will either be redesigned or discontinued in the U.S. Typical BMW shoppers probably won’t lose any sleep over the prospect of losing the Gran Coupe since its front-wheel-drive platform is shared with some Mini vehicles.
That leaves the more desirable 2 Series coupe in place, which attracts drivers seeking a higher level of performance at a relatively affordable price. You can choose from two engines and either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and for the driver with an even stronger appetite for power and cornering, there’s also the raucous BMW M2, which is reviewed separately.
With two-door coupes falling out of favor with the mass market, there are few challengers to the 2025 BMW 2 Series. Its closest rivals include the four-door Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA. Both have higher performing variants to compete against the six-cylinder BMW M240i in the form of the Audi S3 and Mercedes CLA AMG 35 and AMG 45. Whether you choose that M240i or the supporting M230i, you’ll get a more performance-focused sports coupe than the competition.

Overview
The S e-tron GT is the grand tourer for drivers who want their speed quiet and their luxury measured. It moves with the kind of effortless shove that makes gaps open and miles disappear, yet the ride stays calm and the cabin stays hushed. Tech feels premium without being needy, and the whole experience reads “grown-up EV” rather than gadget demo. If you want composure first and fireworks second, this hits the brief. The Audi S e-tron GT is a 5-seater vehicle that comes in 2 trim levels. The most popular style is the Prestige, which starts at $138,295 and comes with an Electric engine and All Wheel Drive. This S e-tron GT is estimated to deliver 91 MPGe in the city and 88 MPGe on the highway.
Overall Assessment
The 2026 S e-tron GT is what happens when an EV grand tourer grows up. It’s shockingly quick, but the headline is how composed it feels when you’re not chasing headlines—how it settles on bad pavement, how quietly it eats miles, how the controls feel measured and deliberate. Pick Premium Plus if you like tailoring options; go Prestige for the turnkey luxury experience and available B&O soundtrack. Cross-shop Taycan, Model S, AMG EQE, and i5 M60, then drive the Audi over the worst stretch of your daily route. The calm combined with effortless shove will likely seal it.

Overview
The 2026 BMW M5 enters a new era with its first-ever plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining brutal acceleration with improved efficiency. It’s heavier than before, but with over 700 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive, the new M5 is both a luxury cruiser and a track-capable sports sedan. Purists may miss the old-school feel, but as a high-performance daily driver, the M5 has never been more versatile. The BMW M5 is a 5-seater vehicle that comes in 2 trim levels. The most popular style is the Sedan, which starts at $123,075 and comes with a Plug-In Hybrid 4.4L V8 Turbo engine and All Wheel Drive.
Overall Assessment
The 2026 BMW M5 represents a new chapter for BMW’s iconic super sedan. The hybrid system adds weight, but it also brings instant torque, better efficiency, and the kind of everyday usability that makes this car appealing beyond just enthusiasts.
If you want a sharper, more analog feel, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing remains the driver’s choice. For pure luxury, the Audi RS7 and AMG E63 have their merits. But if you want one car that can crush a track day, handle a long commute, and glide through city traffic on electric power alone, the M5 is unmatched in its class.

2025 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore

Positives
Exquisite styling

Considerations
Limited touring range
Prohibitive pricing
Electric Range: 242 mi

Overview
The all-electric 2025 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore overflows with style, performance, and presence, and has a price to match. The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is a 4-seater vehicle that comes in 1 trim levels. The most popular style is the Coupe, which starts at $199,690 and comes with an Electric engine and All Wheel Drive. This GranTurismo Folgore is estimated to deliver 85 MPGe in the city and 81 MPGe on the highway.
Overall Assessment
The Maserati GranTurismo was easily one of the most desirable sport coupes from its 2007 debut until it went on hiatus in 2019. For 2024, the GranTurismo made a grand return, with countless improvements under the hood and inside. On the outside, it maintained its curvaceous bodywork and is close enough to its predecessor that they’re easily confused.
The biggest change, however, comes with the 2025 Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, an all-electric interpretation of a modern classic. The Folgore (which means lightning in Italian) replaces the conventional GT’s internal combustion components with electric batteries and three motors. With 751 horsepower being routed to all four wheels, the Folgore should reach 60 mph in only 2.7 seconds. That’s half a second quicker than the twin-turbocharged 542-hp GranTurismo Trofeo.
There are three main drawbacks to the GranTurismo Folgore, though. With a price that flirts with the $200,000 mark, it’s well out of reach for most buyers. Then there’s the sound (or lack thereof). Maseratis have had some of the best-sounding engines in recent history, so the Folgore’s relative silence produces the same cognitive dissonance as seeing Luciano Pavarotti singing in falsetto. Range is another concern, as it’s only estimated to return 242 miles on a full charge.
That range estimate is low when compared to more conventional EVs, but is not bad when you stack it up against other high-performance alternatives. As an electric sport coupe, this Maserati has few rivals. Instead, buyers are more likely to consider four-door adversaries that include the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, and Lucid Air Sapphire.

Combined Mileage: 18 mpg
Configure a new car
Overview
The new Aston Martin Vantage delivers eye-catching looks, luxurious surroundings, and stunning performance, making it one of the best sports cars on the road — or track. The Aston Martin Vantage is a 2-seater vehicle that comes in 1 trim levels. The most popular style is the Coupe, which starts at $194,086 and comes with a 4.0L V8 Turbo engine and Rear Wheel Drive. This Vantage is estimated to deliver 15 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
Aston Martin has fielded sports cars wearing the Vantage name since it was introduced in 1950 on a high-performance version of the DB2. In the late 1970s, the Vantage arrived as its own model line, boasting a powerful V8 engine and a top speed of almost 170 mph. At that time it was the fastest four-seat GT car in the world. Aston Martin continues this lineage with the introduction of an all-new 2025 Vantage.
With a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine, this is the fastest Vantage that Aston Martin has ever produced for the street, boasting a top speed in excess of 200 mph. Very quick and with excellent handling thanks to its 50:50 weight distribution and enhanced suspension, the new Vantage is ready to challenge the Porsche 911, Chevrolet Corvette, McLaren 750S, Lamborghini Huracan, and Mercedes-AMG GT.
The new Aston has the looks to match its sporting performance. Its long hood, short overhangs, and wide stance provide perfect sports car proportions, and it will turn heads in any of its dozens of available colors. High-quality materials adorn the interior, which comes with sport seats and a new infotainment system. A high-end Bowers & Wilkins audio system is available.
The Vantage continues Aston Martin’s revision of its entire lineup, joining the DB12 and DBX. Look for a new V12-powered Vanquish to complete the lineup later this year.

Overview
The 2025 McLaren GTS combines dramatic supercar looks and thrilling performance with everyday comfort. The McLaren GTS is a 2-seater vehicle that comes in 3 trim levels. The most popular style is the Performance, which starts at $224,400 and comes with a 4.0L V8 Turbo engine and Rear Wheel Drive. This GTS is estimated to deliver 15 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
Unlike Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Bentley, McLaren only makes supercars. No sedans. No SUVs. The McLaren lineup consists solely of two-seat, mid-engine, twin-turbo sports cars with extreme performance, sleek lines, and the British brand’s signature dihedral doors. Cars like the spectacular new 2025 McLaren GTS. With 626 horsepower and a base price near $225,000, the GTS is McLaren’s least powerful and most affordable model. It’s also the most comfortable and practical McLaren built, although the hybrid-powered McLaren Artura is a close second. Both models are easy to drive around town because they sacrifice some performance in exchange for comfort and practicality.
The GTS competes with other seriously fast Grand Tourers such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Aston Martin DB12, and Ferrari Roma. But don’t think it’s a wallflower because it has a smooth ride and the largest cargo capacity in McLaren’s lineup. It features a carbon-fiber structure and massive carbon ceramic brakes, just like a Formula 1 car. It runs to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 203 mph, which makes it one of the fastest cars in the world. Where the GTS lags its rivals is with its 7-inch touchscreen and lack of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. McLaren also doesn’t offer adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, emergency braking, or any advanced driver-assist features.

Overview
With almost 700 horsepower from its V8 engine, the DB12 is the most powerful grand touring car Aston Martin has ever sold. Not only does the DB12 deliver exceptional performance, but it is also one of the most beautiful GT cars on the road. The Aston Martin DB12 is a 4-seater vehicle that comes in 2 trim levels. The most popular style is the Coupe, which starts at $248,086 and comes with a 4.0L V8 Turbo engine and Rear Wheel Drive. This DB12 is estimated to deliver 15 MPG in the city and 22 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
The all-new 2024 DB12 is the latest in a long line of Aston Martin GT cars that began in the 1950s. With a long hood and bold rear fenders, the DB12 features the classic lines of its grand touring predecessors. But this latest DB features a wider track and a more prominent grille, giving the sexy coupe a more aggressive look. New stylish LED headlights flank the grille, and the DB12 wears the latest version of the Aston Martin wings badge.
With more power from its twin-turbo V8 and significantly improved handling, the DB12 goes head-to-head with the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo S, but with a more luxurious interior. The Bentley Continental GT offers a more spacious cabin but weighs about 1,000 pounds more than the DB12. At the other end of the GT scale, the McLaren GT delivers higher performance but has considerably less passenger and cargo space compared to the Aston Martin.
The new DB12 provides an excellent blend of luxury and performance without skimping on either of these essential traits. The ride is supremely comfortable, but with excellent steering and plenty of power on tap, the DB12 is an absolute joy to drive. Aston Martin also vastly improved the infotainment system, an upgrade that was desperately needed. It may lack rear seat room and cargo space, but this new DB12 hits the sweet spot for a high-performance GT car.

The most popular style is the EcoBoost Fastback, which starts at $33,915 and comes with a 2.3L I4 Turbo engine and Rear Wheel Drive. This Mustang is estimated to deliver 21 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
Like generations before, the 2025 Ford Mustang adheres to a straightforward formula: big engine, rear-wheel drive, and attainable price tag. The rest pretty much takes care of itself. Ford issued a new version of the Mustang in 2024, called the S650 internally, and it returns for the 2025 model year mostly unchanged. Up front, you get either a turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a big V8. You can get convertible versions and fastback coupe versions. And you can also get high-performance versions, called Dark Horse, with serious power.
Base versions of the 2025 Mustang start in the low-$30,000 range, making this an attractive proposition for budget-friendly folks who still want fun to come standard. Of course, nostalgia is paramount. The Mustang was the original “pony car,” debuting in 1964 and followed shortly after by competition from the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger. Today, the Camaro and Challenger have been canceled, leaving the Mustang the only American pony car still available.
And its stable keeps growing — new for 2025; there’s a 60th Anniversary Edition model in a revived blue paint color with extra body graphics and equipment. There’s also an 800-horsepower supercar version called the Mustang GTD, though it isn’t reviewed here because it’s practically a different vehicle altogether.
Today, the Mustang has a modern and comfortable interior. The back seat is still small, but it has comfortable seats and a smooth, calm demeanor on the highway. The technology is also good, with vivid and responsive screens to control its many functions. That nod toward the future, while still clearly influenced by the past, continues to draw new customers to the Mustang each year.

Overview
The 2026 Porsche Panamera bridges the divide between sports car and executive sedan better than ever, with upgraded hybrid performance and a refined ride. It’s blisteringly fast when provoked, but just as capable at soaking up long highway miles in luxury. The Porsche Panamera is a 4-seater vehicle that comes in 7 trim levels. The most popular style is the Turbo E-Hybrid, which starts at $204,950 and comes with a Plug-In Hybrid 4.0L V8 Turbo engine and All Wheel Drive.
Overall Assessment
The 2026 Porsche Panamera continues to dominate its niche: a luxury performance car that’s not afraid to corner hard. With hybrid trims that outgun competitors and a newly refined cabin tech suite, the Panamera proves you don’t have to choose between high-speed and high-class. It’s not cheap, but when it comes to delivering both luxury and adrenaline, few sedans get the mix right like the Panamera. For buyers torn between a sports car and a luxury four-door, this is your answer.

Overview
The Revuelto represents Lamborghini’s first foray into electrification of a standard (not limited-edition) supercar. With massive horsepower, extreme performance, and bold styling, the Revuelto is a proper replacement for the outgoing Aventador. The Lamborghini Revuelto is a 2-seater vehicle that comes in 1 trim levels. The most popular style is the Coupe, which starts at $608,358 and comes with a Plug-In Hybrid 6.5L V12 engine and All Wheel Drive. This Revuelto is estimated to deliver 10 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway.
Overall Assessment
The idea of a plug-in hybrid does not typically bring about any level of excitement, but this Lamborghini PHEV is anything but typical. The all-new Revuelto replaces the Aventador at the top of Lamborghini’s exotic supercar lineup and is the latest in a long line of V12-powered extreme sports cars from the Italian marque. However, for the first time, the V12 is integrated with three electric motors in a plug-in hybrid powertrain that boasts more than 1,000 horsepower.
Like other Lamborghinis before it, the Revuelto is named for a famous Spanish fighting bull. However, the name in Italian means unruly (or a scrambled egg dish, but we’ll go with unruly), which also seems appropriate for such a beast. The styling is pure Lamborghini, with sleek lines, a wide stance, and the iconic scissor doors. At the rear, the massive V12 engine is exposed for all to see, and the dual hexagonal exhaust outlets provide the ultimate soundtrack to this powerful machine.
The Revuelto is more than just a straight-line rocket: This supercar is built to handle the road and track. Active aerodynamics provide low drag or maximum downforce, depending on the need, and the carbon-fiber monocoque provides excellent torsional stiffness. The front electric motors also offer torque vectoring, further improving high-speed performance.
While the Revuelto is one of the most powerful electrified sports cars on the road, automakers such as Ferrari and McLaren have also embraced electrification. The McLaren Artura, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and Ferrari 296 GTB all feature plug-in hybrid powertrains that are much more about performance than efficiency. However, none of these can match the performance (or price) of the Lamborghini.
